Strawberry picking is a great summer activity that is on a lot of moms’ bucket lists! There are many local farms just outside of Rochester that offer U-Pick Strawberries. It’s a fun way to get the family outside, support local farms and learn about where our food comes from.
Tips For Strawberry Picking With Kids
- Strawberry picking season is short so plan to go in June
- Check the social media and website of the farm for up-to-date information
- Go in the morning before it gets hot
- Wear sneakers in case of muddy fields
- Bring wipes to clean strawberry juice off hands after
- Bring cash depending on the farm
