MEET OUR FOUNDER & OWNER

Jackie R.

Jackie is the Founder and Owner of Rochester Mom Collective. Jackie earned her Bachelor’s degree in Film & Video while minoring in Communication from The University of Toledo.

Jackie grew up in Ohio and moved to California to work in film where she had lots of adventures on movie sets. She met her husband in Hollywood and they moved to the San Francisco Bay Area shortly after getting married. In San Francisco, Jackie found work at a medical clinic where she gathered parenting resources for new moms in need.

After being on the West Coast for fifteen years, they moved with their three children to Rochester to be near family. As a mom moving to a new city, Jackie had to quickly learn about everything that Rochester has to offer. Jackie launched Rochester Mom Collective in hope of creating a resource to support moms and lift up the community.

When she’s not researching resources for moms, Jackie enjoys going for walks, iced coffee and spending time with friends and family. Jackie also has her own photography business. Read Jackie’s articles here

  • Audrey L.
    Project Coordinator, Senior Contributing Writer
    Audrey was born and raised in West Irondequoit before earning her bachelor’s degree in Nutrition at SUNY Queens College. She met her husband while they were both working in the kitchen at the Genesee Brew House. They now live in Greece with their two boys. After working for several restaurants around Rochester, Audrey transitioned to life as a stay-at-home mom. Audrey enjoys crafting, gardening, hiking, and exploring the greater Rochester area with her family. She is passionate about supporting local businesses and doing more with less.   • Jill B.
    Sales Coordinator
    Jill grew up in the Southern Tier and after graduating from SUNY Geneseo, she put down her own roots in Rochester. She spent 10+ years as a homeowner and landlord in the vibrant South Wedge neighborhood and now lives in Pittsford with her family.  Jill stepped away from a career in strategy and business development to immerse herself in the beauty of motherhood. Now a stay-at-home mom, she thrives on the daily entertainment of toddler life and wondering what to make for dinner. When not at a library story time or enjoying an iced latte from one of Rochester's many fabulous coffee shops, you will find Jill on a canal walk, at yoga or baking sourdough bread.

    Sarah grew up in Rochester, Michigan and moved to Rochester, New York in 2021 to combine households with her now-husband and his three teen daughters. Stella joined her older sisters in 2022! Sarah is an educator at heart and works as a curriculum manager for an online school. She is a traveler, yogi, watercolor painter, and mom. Through Rochester Mom Collective, Sarah hopes to explore motherhood adventures alongside other moms and cares deeply about blended families and those with a wide range in ages.     Senior Contributing Writer
    Amanda originates from Long Island, NY but grew up in Rochester. After obtaining a degree in English Literature/Creative Writing from SUNY Fredonia, she wrote for the Rochester Women's Magazine for a short time before moving to England to be with her British Husband. After 4 years of living England, they decided to move to Amanda's hometown of Hilton, NY. Amanda has two children and is currently working as a trainer for her department at a HR and Payroll Company. Amanda enjoys reading, writing, family getaways, being nerdy with friends and always finding joy in life. As a mom, Amanda is passionate about advocating for ADHD children, breastfeeding moms and finding the humorous side to parenting. Read Amanda's articles here

    Cami is a new mom and artist who moved to Rochester last year. She's passionate about building a supportive creative community for other artists balancing studio practice alongside the realities of parenting. She's excited to explore the city's creative spaces and meet fellow creative parents.     Feather is a former elementary Art teacher turned stay‑at‑home mom. She grew up in a rural mountain town in Northern California, spent the last decade in sunny San Diego, and embarked on a 3 month journey across the country in an RV with her husband and then 19 month old daughter in search of a new home for her family to thrive in. Rochester—her husband’s hometown—quickly revealed itself as the most welcoming and family‑friendly city they encountered. Feather is happily married and now has a 2.5 year old daughter and is joyfully expecting her baby boy. She is passionate about balancing family life with personal growth, creative expression, and outdoor exploration. She loves yoga, lifting weights, and dabbling in all forms of art and sensory play with her toddler.     Jacqui is a Rochester native—born, raised, and still calling this vibrant city home. Becoming a mom to two little ones has deepened her appreciation for Rochester, especially as she explores all the kid-friendly corners and hidden gems it has to offer. As a marketing and higher education professional of 10 years, she has a passion for stories that connect people to one another. Jacqui holds an M.S. in Service Leadership and Innovation from Rochester Institute of Technology, is an avid supporter of anti-human trafficking efforts, and was a foster parent. These days, you'll find Jacqui focusing the majority of her time soaking in the beauty and chaos of motherhood.     Jen is a certified Life Coach who empowers women to break free from chronic stress and overwhelm, restoring calm, productive order to their life and career. With 17 years of experience as a social worker, Jen brings a unique blend of compassion and expertise to her coaching practice. Additionally, Jen is passionate about supporting foster parents and offers specialized coaching services tailored to navigate the unique challenges of foster care. Beyond her coaching endeavors, Jen is deeply engaged in mental health advocacy, collaborating with organizations such as the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention and her County Suicide Prevention Task Force.     Jenna shares heartfelt, honest stories about motherhood to help other moms feel seen, supported, and part of a community. When she isn’t writing or momming, she loves to devour mysteries, explore the cuisines and cultures of different cities, and rock out to emo music, 90’s pop, or Hamilton —depending on her mood. Jenna lives in West Henrietta with her husband, 7 and 9 year old sons, and 2 year old daughter.     Keri is a devoted mom, veteran educator, and celebrant who believes stories matter. She has been teaching high school English since 2001, dedicating more than two decades to helping students find their voices, think critically, and fall in love with language. Keri is also the owner of Flower City Ceremonies, where she officiates weddings, funerals, and everything in between. At home, she is mom to Morgan (8) and Aaron (5), both welcomed into her family through adoption. Motherhood is the role she cherishes most — filled with bedtime stories, big questions, laughter, and the everyday magic of watching her children grow into who they are meant to be.     Maggie returned home to Rochester in 2022 after spending 12 years in Colorado. With two littles in tow, she’s traded rock climbing and hiking the Rocky Mountains for kid-friendly trails, stroller-ready walkways, and playground adventures around Rochester and Western New York. In addition to being a nature lover, Maggie has also rediscovered her creative side, spending time painting, working with clay, and doodling alongside her five-year-old daughter.
