Light The City Hall Christmas Tree

Wednesday, November 29 | 10:00am
Join Mayor Evans and Santa in celebrating the start of the Holiday Season as they light the City Hall Christmas tree. Enjoy performances by the Rochester School of the Arts Choir and Orchestra during the celebration.

The Old Farm Cafe’s Christmas Tree Lighting with Elsa, Anna and Friends

For the first time in forever it is time for the holidays to begin! Join the Queen and Princess as they signify the beginning of the most wonderful time of year by lighting our Christmas tree! Accompanied by their memorable friends, we invite attendees of all ages with their families to take part in this interactive event. Featuring live music, snowflake making, and photos with the Royal sisters, the excitement kicks off with the Queen using her magic to light our magnificent tree.

Genesee Brew House Keg Tree Lighting

Friday, December 1, 5:00pm – 9:00pm | Genesee Brew House
The Genesee Keg Tree lighting party takes place Friday, December 1, from 5-9pm! The lighting will be at 6:30pm sharp! Join us as we ring in the holiday season with fresh beer, local food trucks, and more! This is a family friendly event, so dress warmly and bring everyone! With the Pont De Rennes bridge under construction, Genesee is thrilled to offer free shuttle service to and from the High Falls Parking Garage at 240 State Street. Shuttle service runs 4:30pm – 9:15pm to and from the Genesee Brew House / High Falls Parking Garage only. No food or alcohol on the shuttle busses. Please be respectful to bus drivers and assisting Genesee personnel. Parking will be available in multiple locations. These include High Falls Parking Garage and On Street Parking.

Town of Chili’s Community Tree Lighting and Craft Show

Friday, December 1, 6:00pm | Chili Recreation
The Chili Community will gather to kick off the holiday season with the lighting of the Town of Chili Tree. Stick around for festive fun including carols, children’s activities, and horse-drawn wagon rides with Rudolph and Santa. Food will be available for purchase. Tree Lighting is at approximately 6:15 pm followed by activities in the Chili Community Center, including a Community Craft Show with Florence Brasser Family Association with local small businesses. Join us as we bring in the holiday cheer to Chili! Please consider participating in your Toy Drive for the Pirate Toy Fund. We will accept new, boxed toys on site.

Roc Holiday Village’s Liberty Pole Lighting & Parade

Saturday, December 2, 5:00pm | Roc Holiday Village at Dr. MLK, Jr. Park
At 5:00pm, join Santa, elves, and other costumed characters as they greet kids and light the Liberty Pole. Prime Time Brass will play holiday favorites as the Liberty Pole is lit! At 5:40pm, parade with Santa and the band from Liberty Pole to Roc Holiday Village at Dr. MLK Jr, Park. At 5:45pm, arrive at Roc Holiday Village. Visit Santa’s Workshop, The Lodge Bar, The Gingerbread House, The Shopping Village, free ice skating, food trucks and more!

Town of Webster’s Parade of Lights

Not exactly a Christmas tree lighting but still a chance to see a lot of Christmas lights! The event is sponsored by the Webster Fire Department. Webster’s Winter Wonderland fills Main St with family-friendly activities before the parade.

Town of Irondequoit’s Holiday Tree and Menorah Lighting Ceremony

Celebrate the season’s magic at our Town’s Annual Holiday Lighting Event on Sunday, December 3. Join us for a joyous evening filled with enchanting moments, delightful activities, and the warmth of community. Activities include tree and menorah lighting, children’s activities, live entertainment and an appearance by Santa.

Pittsford Chamber’s Candlelight Night

Tuesday, December 5, 5:00pm – 8:00pm | Village of Pittsford
There are three different tree lightings around Pittsford.The Pittsford Chamber hosts Candlelight Night. This family-fun annual tradition is a festival that kicks off the Winter holidays. This event is held throughout the Village of Pittsford, with South Main Street being closed between the Four Corners (Monroe and State Streets) down to Church Street to accommodate activities and pedestrian traffic. Activities will take place in the center of the Village, Schoen Place and Northfield Common. During the evening, the streets will come alive with horse-drawn carriage rides, visits from Santa, Mrs. Claus, and The Grinch. The sound of live carolers add to the festive air of the evening. Village businesses welcome the public with special sales, events and or treats! Our annual tree lightings will take place at 5:30 PM (State & Main Streets), 6:00 PM Schoen Place Pavillion; 6:45 PM Northfield Common Gazebo (across from Label 7). Kid’s activities will take place at The Kid’s Zone in Northfield Common. There will be an obstacle course, face painting, live reindeer, photos with Santa, live Alpaca and more! Plan on having dinner and dessert with many of our food trucks located throughout the Village or reserve a table at one of the local restaurants. Stop by the Chamber tent, on South Main Street, to purchase a $5.00 wristband for our Annual Pub Crawl. All proceeds benefit the Pittsford Food Cupboard

Town of Greece’s Christmas Tree Lighting

Thursday, December 7, 6:00pm | Greece Community Center
This special night will include a visit from Santa, horsedrawn wagon rides, live music, treats for purchase and fire pits. The lighting of the tree will happen at 6:00pm.

Hilton Holiday Celebration on Main & Community Tree Lighting

Saturday, December 9, 3:30pm | Village of Hilton
Holiday Cheer is coming to the Village of Hilton. Join us for our 2nd annual Holiday Celebration on Main Street! All holiday activities will take place on Main Street! The event will feature caroling, hayrides, vendors, games, dancing, food, giveaways, visits with Santa and so much more. The evening will conclude with the Annual Community Tree Lighting at the Community Center gazebo. Come help HP Rec spread holiday cheer through the village. All activities are FREE as we continue this new Holiday tradition in Hilton!

Jackie is the Founder of Rochester Mom Collective. She grew up in Ohio and moved to California to work in film where she had lots of adventures on movie sets. She met her husband in Hollywood and they moved to the San Francisco Bay Area shortly after getting married. In San Francisco, Jackie found work at a medical clinic where she gathered parenting resources for new moms in need. After being on the West Coast for fifteen years, they moved with their three children to the Rochester area to be near family.
