Motion Junction features a communication station that contains pictures to help kids communicate with one another, and a music corner with chimes, drums, and other instruments. There are various kinds of swings, slides, and a zipline that is a must-try! The playground features a huge pavilion with tables, benches, and various seating options, with a water fountain and bottle filling station. There are four universally designed family bathrooms that are wheelchair accessible and have a large diaper changing station.

Fairport

Center Park West

This playground was built in 2025 and has a music theme with piano keys, drums and music notes. It features of the playground include a fully wheelchair-accessible We-Go-Round, a musical hillside with built-in piano keys and instruments, a Play Odyssey Tower with two 10-foot slides, rollerslides, climbing ropes, interactive ground-level elements, and accessible surfacing with low-maintenance turf. There are benches with shade canopies at the playground and a covered pavilion with picnic tables and restrooms. An older playground structure is also at the park.

Egypt Park

Goodwin Park

This amazing structure will keep your older children busy. There is a small slide with steps and a little house for younger children. There are not any restrooms at this location but there is a port-a-potty at the parking lot. This playground is just off of Lake Ontario. There is a second Goodwin Park in Rochester. This playground is near Greece.

There is a short walk to a restroom. There is a walking path nearby and the Greece Public Library is at this area.

Sawyer Park Playground

Sawyer Park in Greece has a new playground with mulch and many challenging, climbing features suitable for older children. There is a smaller structure with bridge and slide for younger children. Hamlin

Hamlin Recreation Department Playground

This playground is behind the Hamlin Library. The playground is nostalgic of what wooden playgrounds used to look like. This playground is a labyrinth with bridges and moving stairs which makes it great for older kids. There are not any restrooms at this playground but it is right behind the Hamlin Library, which closes early on Fridays, Saturdays and is closed on Sundays.

Hilton

Adventure Towers Playground

The Adventure Towers Playground at Parma Town Parks is very impressive. There are ramps throughout and a small slide for younger kids, but it really is for older kids. There is a second playground at Parma Town Parks and restrooms are nearby. Enter at the North Entrance of the park.

The playground at Irondequoit Bay State Marine Park is a completely fenced-in playground. The new playground has different structures for younger and older kids. While there aren’t restrooms at the playground, it is just up the hill from the Bill Gray’s and Abbott’s just outside of Seabreeze Amusement Park. You can go to the playground and get a burger or frozen custard after!

Macedon

Jack’s Place – Penfield

Shadow Pines Playground

Many people recognize the Shadow Pines as a golf course. In recent years, the golf course closed and the outdoor space has been transformed into a multi use order space. The park now includes several outdoor walking spaces, two playgrounds, pickle ball courts, a covered pavilion and grills, and restrooms. The park has a lot of open lawn, perfect for tossing a frisbee or other fun lawn games.

Pittsford

Kreag Road Park

Powder Mills Park

This new playground is deep inside Powder Mills Park in Pittsford. There is a smaller structure for younger children and restrooms available at the lodge across the street. When you enter Powder Mills, you will pass the Powder Mills Fish Hatchery. When you are done playing on the playground, you can feed the fish at the hatchery.

Rochester

Cobbs Hill Challenge Course

100 Norris Dr, Rochester

Located off of Culver Road, the lower area of Cobbs Hill Park has tons of fun to be had! The Challenge Course for youth aged 5 to 12 — with ninja/parkour-style obstacles, has 30 pieces of equipment. A sign with course instructions is posted next to it, and the course is clearly marked with START and FINISH on the ground. A small playground structure and a neighboring outdoor fitness court for ages 14 and up makes physical fitness free for the community. Accessible by bus, or there is ample parking by the playground, and just past if you follow a small road up around to the tennis courts. Explore nature through Washington Grove, plus past the tennis courts you’ll find trails that lead up to and around the Cobbs Hill Reservoir.

Lilac Adventure Zone

249 Highland Ave., Rochester

This natural playground is so unique and in the heart of Highland Park in Rochester. Highland Park is mostly street parking but there is a parking lot on Highland Ave for this playground. There are also covered picnic tables and nearby restrooms in this area. Being in Highland Park, one can explore the many paths that weave throughout the park and make your way to Lamberton Conservatory.

Maplewood Park

This park has so many amenities nearby including restaurants, a new splash pad, the historic Dentzel Menagerie Carousel and the beach along Lake Ontario. The beach is a part of a small area north of Irondequoit and Charlotte that is technically Rochester.

Thomas P. Ryan Recreation Center Playground

This new playground was a part of the renovations of the Ryan R-Center. The Ryan R-Center has many new amenities including a reimagined community room, teen lounge and computer lab. Outside you can find basketball courts, tennis courts and a spray park open during the summer.

Spencerport

Alpine Adventure Zone Natural Playground

55 Hubbell Rd, Spencerport

This natural playground is a part of Northampton Park which has many amenities to it, especially during winter with skiing and snowshoeing. During the summer, you can enjoy visiting Springdale Farms nearby. Like most natural playgrounds, this structure is better suited for older children. There are restrooms available.

Pineway Ponds Park

Rothfuss Park is home to the original Jack’s Place Playground and a smaller playground for younger children. There is a restroom at the park but it is not near the playground. There is a mulch pit with play toys. There is another Jack’s Place playground in Webster.

Jack’s Place – Webster

Holt Rd. at Lake Rd., Webster

Jack’s Place Playground is along Lake Rd. along Lake Ontario. The ground is mulch-covered. There is a mulch pit with trucks and play toys for younger kids. There is a port-a-potty nearby. Being near the lake, it will be colder on chilly days! The playground is a part of Webster Park and there are plenty of walking paths to explore. There is another Jack’s Place playground at Rothfuss Park in Penfield.

Lilac Adventure Zone

249 Highland Ave., Rochester

This natural playground is so unique and in the heart of Highland Park in Rochester. Highland Park is mostly street parking but there is a parking lot on Highland Ave for this playground. There are also covered picnic tables and nearby restrooms in this area. Being in Highland Park, one can explore the many paths that weave throughout the park and make your way to Lamberton Conservatory.

Basil Marella Playground

Basil Marella Park in Greece has an inclusive playground for people of all abilities with various swings, merry-go-round and sensory activities. There are restrooms and an older play structure nearby. There are many fields and courts for sports.

Gravino Park – Macedon

Gravino Park has a new inclusive playground with lots of space and different structures including an accessible seesaw, rope course, roller slide and hot air balloon. The playground is fenced in except for the entrance. New restrooms are expected to be completed before Summer 2026.

Heyer-Bayer Memorial Park

Rudman Rd, Irondequoit

This park sits in a neighborhood so it’s partially fenced complete with a baseball diamond. It features an expression swing, an inclusive whirl, a roller slide, and more. There is only porta-potty nearby.

Irondequoit Bay State Marine Park

Culver Rd, Irondequoit, NY 14622

The playground at Irondequoit Bay State Marine Park is a completely fenced-in playground. The new playground has different structures for younger and older kids. While there aren’t restrooms at the playground, it is just up the hill from the Bill Gray’s and Abbott’s just outside of Seabreeze Amusement Park. You can go to the playground and get a burger or frozen custard after!

Karpus Family Playground ranks high on my list because it is such a great playground for younger and older kids! The playground is fenced except for at the entrance. There are different play structures for different age groups. The playground can be accessed from Ridge Road or from Van Ingen Dr, just past the Webster Public Library and Ridge Park.

Kids Canyon Playground in Greece is an unique playground for younger children with a forest theme with animals and caves to wander through. The Wild Over Water Zone splash pad is right next to the fenced-in playground. Just know that the splash pad is free for Greece Residents and $5 cash for non-residents. There is a short walk to a restroom. There is a walking path nearby and the Greece Public Library is at this area.

Shadow Pines Playground

2701 Atlantic Ave, Penfield

Many people recognize the Shadow Pines as a golf course. In recent years, the golf course closed and the outdoor space has been transformed into a multi use order space. The park now includes several outdoor walking spaces, two playgrounds, pickle ball courts, a covered pavilion and grills, and restrooms. The park has a lot of open lawn, perfect for tossing a frisbee or other fun lawn games.

Hamlin Recreation Department Playground

1680 Lake Rd N, Hamlin

This playground is behind the Hamlin Library. The playground is nostalgic of what wooden playgrounds used to look like. This playground is a labyrinth with bridges and moving stairs which makes it great for older kids. There are not any restrooms at this playground but it is right behind the Hamlin Library, which closes early on Fridays, Saturdays and is closed on Sundays.

Pineway Ponds Park

This playground has a smaller structure for toddlers. For bigger kids, there are challenging rope climbing structures and a rock wall. There are swings and baby swings. There is a new splash pad near the playground. Seasonal restrooms are nearby.

Ontario Beach Park

Ontario Beach Park is a wonderful destination for families. There are several structures at the playground which differ in age including the recently added features around the larger playground and a smaller structure with ramps which is great for younger children. This park has so many amenities nearby including restaurants, a new splash pad, the historic Dentzel Menagerie Carousel and the beach along Lake Ontario. The beach is a part of a small area north of Irondequoit and Charlotte that is technically Rochester.

Thomas P. Ryan Recreation Center Playground

530 Webster Ave, Rochester, NY 14609

This new playground was a part of the 2025 renovations of the Ryan R-Center. The Ryan R-Center has many new amenities including a reimagined community room, teen lounge and computer lab. Outside you can find basketball courts, tennis courts and a spray park open during the summer.

Union Station Playground

25 Rock Island Rd, North Chili

Union Station Park is tucked away near neighborhood homes and has large fields often used for kids sports. The playground at Union Station was replaced in 2025. The playground now has new structures and a rubber surface. The Union Station playground is near the Union Station Sprayground. There is also a Fitness Court for exercising.

Webster First Responder’s Park

1350 Chiyoda Dr., Webster

Webster First Responder’s Park has a unique playground with police, firetruck and ambulance cars. The ramped playground has several small slides for younger children. The free First Responder’s Splash Pad is on the other side of a picnic pavilion. There is a nearby trail that leads around the Webster Parks and Recreation Center. There are several First Responder’s Parks in Rochester. This playground is in Webster.
