While full of so many joys, we know it’s also full of sleepless nights, sticky hands, belly laughs, questions about everything from diapers to feeding, and so much more. We invite you to join this wonderful group of your fellow new parents as you learn about Life with Baby together. This support group is geared toward parents experiencing life with baby during that first, impressionable year. The group is facilitated by a leader, please bring your questions, your concerns and your stories. Pre-registration is encouraged but not required. You are welcome to drop in. To attend this group, we’re kindly asking for your financial support of $3 per meeting. No one will be turned away due to lack of funds.
MOPS (Mothers of PreSchoolers)
Here at MOPS, we gather and support moms. We believe in the simple but revolutionary idea that remarkable things happen when moms come together. Our acronym stands for “Mothers of Preschoolers” because we began in 1973 when a group of moms with young children banded together to share their lives and parenting journeys. Over the past 45 years, MOPS has expanded our reach to include ALL moms. Whether you are a soon-to-be mom, first-time mom or seventh-time mom, you are welcome here. Whether you are an adoptive mom, young mom, seasoned mom, military mom, stepmom or any other type of mom, you are welcome here. MOPS encourages and equips moms of young children to realize their potential as mothers, women and leaders, in relationship with Jesus, and in partnership with the local church. Groups typically meet twice a month in churches during the school year.
Parenting Village
Creating a family is an amazing time full of excitement, wonder, and questioning. Often families find themselves with nowhere to turn to share in their joy or worries. It takes a village to raise a child. Parenting Village fosters the health and well-being of caregivers and children in the Rochester area by offering support and connection for all families. We envision an inclusive, mutually supportive community in which all thrive. Founded by moms who understood the support parents need, we continually assess and respond with care and compassion to what caregivers need to navigate the parenting journey.
Parent to Parent of Western New York
Parents of a person with a developmental disability or special health care need can be connected one-to-one with another parent support member who has experience with having a family member with a disability or chronic illness. The experienced support parent provides emotional support to the referral parent and assists them in finding information and resources.
