Seabreeze Amusement Park Opens New Ride, The Windstarz

Seabreeze Amusement Park is a Rochester gem. Featuring a variety of rides and attractions for adults and kids, Seabreeze Amusement Park has something for everyone. There are thrill rides galore like Revolution 360 and Screamin’ Eagle and families can enjoy riding together on the Twirlin’ Tea Cups, the Bumper Cars and the Tilt-A-Whirl. For moms with small children, you will love the convenience of Kiddie City which has several small rides for kids close together. The water park has fun for all ages with the Tad Pool water playground, water-blasters, water slides and the Lazy River. Seabreeze Amusement Park has now opened their newest ride, The Windstarz!

The Windstarz

The Windstarz is a new family ride that creates an experience similar to hang gliding. Your feet dangle as you soar to new heights in your circling glider. Two riders control a lever which will raise, lower, and tilt the rider position. My seven-year old son enjoyed riding The Windstarz with me and making our glider move up and down and then up again.

Riders must be at least 42″ tall. Those under 48″ tall must ride with a responsible person. The Windstarz is located near the Jack Rabbit. See the park map for details.

Tips For Moms

Whether you are a newcomer to Seabreeze or a seasoned expert, here are some tips for moms visiting with children:

  • Height Requirements: If you have smaller children, review the height requirements for rides to better prepare expectations for your visit. Most rides have a minimum height requirement. In some cases, a rider can ride if they have a Responsible Person with them. A Responsible Person meets the ride criteria to experience the ride and is able to ensure that the child remains properly seated and follows all the rules of the ride. Thankfully, my youngest is now 36″ tall which means she can ride more of the rides with her older siblings.
  • Food: You are allowed to bring food and non-alcoholic beverages into the park, but no glass containers or knives. There are many places to eat in the park with kid-friendly and gluten-free options like pizza, cheeseburgers and, of course, Zweigle’s Hot Dogs.
  • Parking: Parking is free at Seabreeze. There are two entrances to the park – at Parking Lot #1 near the Jack Rabbit and at Parking Lot #3 near the water park. See the park map for details.
  • Safety: Remind your children that if you get separated, they can go to any of the security staff in bright green shirts for help.
  • Water Safety: Seabreeze offers complimentary use of life vests, available in a variety of sizes, on a first-come first-served basis. You may bring your own if you’d prefer, but they must be the life-vest or kiddie-bubble style; we don’t allow just floaties/swimmies/water wings, or any other flotation devices. Life jackets are recommended for weak swimmers, and for those under 48″, on the Lazy River and Wave Pool.
  • Lockers: Do not leave items unattended. There are lockers available at the water park. Remember to bring coins for single-use coin operated lockers or cash for a small or large all-day locker.
  • Adult Chaperone Policy: On Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, holidays, and special events, guests aged 17 and under (or under 21 on School Group Days) must be accompanied by an adult chaperone. Everyone, including the chaperone, must buy a ticket or show their season passport photo ID to enter the park. See the park’s Policies & Guidelines for more details.
  • Re-entry: Receive a hand stamp upon exiting the park if you wish to re-enter later that day. Show your hand stamp and present your sales receipt for re-entry.
