Great Houses Decorated For Halloween In Rochester

Rochesterians have some great houses decorated for Halloween this year! Many displays support a charity by collecting donations. Here are a few to check out! Halloween on Ambush's show includes lights, music and special effects.

Halloween On Ambush
15 Ambush Lane Churchville, NY
This is the fifth year of Halloween On Ambush, the nation’s largest, non-profit “Home-Haunt” Halloween display. This year they are collecting donations for the Dream Factory of Rochester to benefit critically and chronically ill children. Donations can be made online and 100% of the donations goes to the Dream Factory of Rochester. The life-size pirate display is available to view – just stay behind the ropes. There are 4 shows this year which include 45 minutes of lights, music and special effects with food vendors onsite. For the shows, traffic flows in a one-way pattern. Park and walk to the display. Seating is not available. Read the details on visiting the shows on their website before heading out and check their facebook page for weather updates.

Show Dates and Times:

  • Friday, October 20 — 5:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. (light show begins at 6:30 p.m.)
  • Saturday, October 21 — 6:30 p.m. to 10 p.m.
  • Friday, October 27 — 5:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. (light show begins at 6:30 p.m.)
  • Saturday, October 28 — 6:30 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Somershire Drive, Irondequoit
This street in Irondequoit has been getting a lot of attention in recent years as THE street for trick-or-treating. Many houses have elaborate decorations which are great to drive by and check out or get out for an evening stroll.
