SUMMARY:Maple Sugaring Weekend at Cumming Nature Center
DESCRIPTION:Join us the last two weekends in March for our 48th annual Maple Sugaring Weekends. You can enjoy steaming-hot stacks of locally-sourced pancakes inside the Visitor’s Center before heading outdoors for trail demonstrations that explore the science of sap and the long cultural history of tapping maple trees in our region. Your walk will end at the sugar shack\, where you can see first-hand the process of boiling sap down to syrup and take a sip of nature’s tastiest sugar. \nWith 48 years of experience\, it’s guaranteed to be one of the sweetest experiences of your year! \nEnjoy a locally-sourced meal with all-you-can-eat pancakes\, sausage\, and drinks. All served with real maple syrup\, of course! We source our ingredients from Finger Lakes favorites like New Hope Mills\, Bostrom Farms\, Pittsford Farms Dairy\, and Finger Lakes Coffee Roasters. Gluten-free and vegan friendly options (Bob’s Red Mill pancakes) are available upon request. \nThe dining room will be open from 9am-1pm each day\, and guests will be seated on a first-come\, first-served basis. \nEach pancake breakfast ticket includes complimentary admission to the Maple Sugaring trail demonstration\, a 0.25 mile walk with guided stations exploring tree tapping\, sap science\, historical uses of maple sap\, and a taste of real maple syrup out at our active sugarhouse! \nThe Maple Sugaring trail will be available to hike from 9:30am-1:30pm each day. \nMaple Trail ONLY\n\n\n$5\n\n\nPANCAKE BREAKFAST + Trail\n\n\nAdult: $15\nChild (12 & under): $10
