Several of our local farm families provide our community with safe and wholesome experiences to help our children get outdoors. Blodgett Family Farm | Hilton
The Blodgett Family Farm is a little family farm in Hilton with a welcome atmosphere and the $5 pumpkin. While purchasing your produce or baked goods, visitors are invited to take part in a fairy garden scavenger hunt, greet the donkeys, or have fun in the little play area.
Chase Farms | Fairport
Chase Farms in Fairport is a fun stop for a little family time. You can buy produce and treats at their farm market, have fun greeting their goats, play on the wooden ship, and in the fall, you can climb hay bails, or get lost in their mini corn maze.
Long Acre Farms | Macedon
Long Acre Farms is a staple on the east side of Rochester. Their Farm Shop and Ice Cream Shop are open daily. In April, the JD Wine Cellars Tasting Room and Winery Deck open and you can enjoy a glass and live music at their Music On The Lawn events in the summer and fall. From May through October, you can also purchase admission to the kids play area, The Back 40, which features a jumping pillow, giant slide and more. Your budding explorer can also enjoy gemstone panning for stones and fossils. In September and October, families can visit their Fall Festival Weekends and explore The Amazing Maize Maze.
Powers Farm Market | Pittsford
Powers Farm Market is a community favorite in Pittsford. They offer free and ticketed attractions in the spring, summer, fall, and holiday seasons. The farm market has a great selection of baked goods and produce, as well as a window to view a working beehive! Outside, quarter machines contain pellets to feed the animals and seasonal displays for fun and photos. In the fall, you can also check out the Powers Famous Teepees, decorated for Halloween along with their haunted hayride. In December, they extend their evening hours for visitors to take in their live nativity.
Springdale Farm | Spencerport
Springdale Farm in Spencerport is a great place to spend the day. They offer access to farm animals, a petting zoo, a playground, a duck pond, a fairy trail, and tours of their robotic milking system. There are plenty of places to picnic and relax with the family as you wander around the property.
Stokoe Farms | Scottsville
Stokoe Farms in Scottsville, has a ton of fun things to do during their annual Harvest Fest during the fall. Several ticket options give you access to attractions including farm animals, play structures, jump pillows, the corn maze, giant slides, a zip line, paintball, and an apple cannon. Starting in November, you can take a wagon ride with through their picturesque Christmas Tree Farm and visit their live nativity.
Wickham Farms | Penfield
Wickham Farms is a family favorite in Penfield, featuring a day full of fun activities and photo opportunities. Day passes are available in both the summer and fall for seasonal and regular activities. Attractions include jump pillows, train rides, slides, farm animals, a corn maze, and mini golf. The season for Wickham Farms starts when their lavender fields peak in June with their Lavender Days. In August, you can visit to see their Sunflower Spectacular and enjoy their Fall Festival in September and October with apple picking and their pumpkin patch.
